Ballet 2022

In Autumn 2022, Crown Ballet brings you an unforgettable selection of three ballet classics, Swan Lake, Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty.

After very long two years of not having ballet, we are all excited and very happy to be able to perform in front of you this year. For the Ballet Season 2022, we will be bringing you a ballet company from Moldova.

Swan Lake – The greatest of all romantic ballets

Swan Lake is a tale of two young women, Odette and Odilie, who resemble each other so strikingly that one can easily be mistaken for the other. Swan Lake is full of mystery and romance and has captured the imagination of generations over the years and it continues to attract worldwide audiences, young and old.

The Nutcracker – An eternal seasonal favourite

Prepare to enter a magical new world – the nutcracker in this ballet may be a handsome prince in disguise. This eternal seasonal favourite will be an unforgettable journey in the run-up to Christmas and an ideal introduction to audiences of any age to the magic that is classical ballet.

Sleeping Beauty – a spectacular fairy-tale

Stunning choreography, sumptuous costumes and wonderful sets form the fantasy world in which the Lilac Fairy struggles against the evil Carabosse. There are no scores more successful in supporting the full range of ballet than those by Tchaikovsky. Highlights include the Famous ‘Rose Adagio’ when Princess Aurora is introduced to four princes.
